Nothing Power 2
I was working on a school presentation where I introduced my power bank concept called Unit Cell[↗] and my friend Jan pointed out that it had a strong resemblance to Nothing’s design language. That got me thinking, what if Nothing actually made a power bank? While researching, I came across the unreleased Nothing Power 1[↗] concept, a product that never made it to market but still has a lot of interest from the community[↗]. With the rise of technologies like Qi2[↗] and the growing demand for better-designed accessories, I explored what a modern Nothing power bank could look like. My concept, “Nothing Power (2),” focuses on combining functionality with Nothing’s visual identity, featuring an aluminum body for better heat management, glass panels for a premium feel, a refined design that doesn’t simply imitate the Nothing Phone, and a Glyph interface for battery indication. The goal was to imagine how Nothing could expand into a new category while staying true to its approach of creating simple, distinctive, and thoughtfully designed products.
